How to Use Essential Oils to Repel Ants
DIY Ant-Repellant Spray
Combine the essential oils, then add the water, then the alcohol. Shake before use. Spray on windowsills, doors, cabinets, and anywhere else you want to prevent ants.
Cotton Ball Method
If you want to keep ants out consistently, apply a few drops to a clean cotton ball. Place in the corners of windowsills, doorways, cabinets, etc.

Diffusing any of these essential oils will help to spread the oils throughout the room, helping to repel ants and other critters. Diffusers are easy to run and smell wonderful for you as well!
Topical Application
You can take a cotton pad, apply a few drops of essential oil, and wipe down windowsills, doorways, and other areas you want to keep ants away from. Since you’re applying the oil directly to the surface, the scent will be stronger and more evenly spread out over the area.
