They can help with fatigue, stress, and, of course, increase circulation"

You might be wondering how essential oils that are mostly used to promote hair growth can help you with your frizzy hair. That’s a great question! Essential oils are very powerful substances. Adding them to your routine can help with the overall health and strength of your hair, reducing the likeliness of split ends and frizzy, broken hair.

For short term fixes for frizzy hair, essential oils can be mixed with carrier oils. Carrier oils are gentle oils that tend to be fattier than essential oils. Carrier oils like fractionated coconut oil, jojoba, castor, and argan oil are all great oils to use on frizzy hair. They will lightly coat the hair shaft to make it shinier and sleeker than before. Add a few drops of essential oil to your carrier oil to promote smooth hair in both the long and short term.

Deep Conditioner Recipe

  • 3 tablespoons fractionated coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 drops essential oil

Mix together and apply to clean, dry hair. Comb through and let sit 15-20 minutes.

Rinse and wash your hair as normal.
