Summer is here everyone and this is not the type of weather that you want to be cluttered in. Trust me, heat and clutter are the enemy. No need for fear! I have the perfect solution and it is right in line with your Green Lifestyle.Essential oil blends, like lemon oil and tea tree oil, are the perfect addition to your green cleaning recipes.
John Wesley, a wise theologist, once said, “cleanliness is next to godliness”. I hold this to be true; God had to be able to think in order to create. With that being said, I make sure I keep a clean space, especially in the summer when the heat can become overwhelming. I use several different oils that came with one of my Radha BeautyEssential Oil Kits. One of my favorites is lemon oil.
Both Lemon and Tea Tree oil act as a natural antibacterial, which means they have certain properties that help them fight against one or more bacteria. Paired with vinegar, and you’ll have one of the best cleaning products on the market! With the strength to fight mold, this solution will disinfect while leaving behind a clean, shiny surface.
Here’s what I do. First, I combine two-thirds water to one-third white vinegar, then shake. Next depending on my cleaning task, I'll add a few drops of lemon or tea tree oil. For example, let's say I’m wiping my countertops: I’ll add several drops of lemon oil because I know that it’s antibacterial and acts as de-greaser for those stubborn stains. Another great alternative to lemon is the powerful antibacterial and pest deterrent eucalyptus oil. I’ll then shake the solution pretty well, then I get to work.
